The ‘Upside Down Wall’ unifies exterior and interior, public and private spaces while providing flexibility in its daily use. The wall is either hung from the ceiling or supported from the ground in a dynamic interplay between its various functions. The wall provides exterior seating, work space, interior bench seating, display areas, dry bar, and storage. In relation to the different functions, the multiple depths of the wall openings create a varied landscape.

All of the horizontal surfaces use a glowing white onyx stone which is lit from behind. These surfaces contrast with back-painted white glass panels within each wall opening and the vibrant colour that is revealed when the cabinetry is opened.
